How to make chocolate bars with nuts

Honestly, homemade chocolate bars have been one of the richest recipes for goodies I've tried.

We recommend it especially to those diners who like that combination of sweet and salty. Also for those who want to eat healthy, but without stopping to eat those delicious and sweet treats.

The first time I tried these thin chocolate bars, it was at my grandmother's house. I found a bag of a product called "Bark Thins Snacking Chocolate" and from the moment I saw the combination: Dark chocolate with sunflower seeds and sea salt, I knew it would be Excellent! ... and it was 🙂

I could not stop thinking about how to make chocolate bars, I got the impression that this was a product that could be prepared at home, since all its shapes were of different sizes and the three ingredients were quite accessible. So I decided to investigate and what I got was that it was incredibly easy and quick to do it at home!

If you want to enjoy a delicious snack mid-morning or mid-afternoon, you can definitely try this. You will use dark cocoa and nuts in a fair measure; neither much nor little, moderate amounts. Not to mention its great benefits: cocoa for example, has antioxidants, vitamin C and is an excellent source of fiber. The nuts are in turn a great source of energy, good fats and like cocoa, have numerous antioxidant properties.

How to make bars homemade chocolate with nuts

Ingredients for 3 or 4 people:

  • 200 to 300 grams of dark chocolate (60 or 70% cocoa) in bar.
  • 1/4 cup of water.
  • Half a cup of granulated stevia (only if the chocolate was not sweetened).
  • Half a cup of nuts like toasted almonds, or Sunflower seeds, nuts, roasted peanuts or pistachio. These should be chopped into small pieces.
  • A pinch of coarse sea salt.

Preparation of bar chocolates:

Once you have this, you will need a flat plate or a flat baking sheet and non-stick kitchen paper.

You will start by melting the dark chocolate in a pot over low heat, you can put the water and stevia and when it starts to boil, and then start placing the chocolate in pieces (you can do it with your hands). We look for a liquid but thick consistency, with which you can beat with a spoon without so much ease.

Once you have melted the chocolate, you must place the non-stick paper on the plate or tray and spread it with a semi- thin, making the shape of a circle and leaving only a little chocolate for later. Once you have spread it, you can sprinkle the nuts and the pinch of sea salt over the circle and decoratively.

Then, to finish sealing or sticking the bar, spread the Final chocolate that stays on top of nuts and salt. Finally place it in the freezer for about 10 minutes; here we are looking for chocolate to harden completely.
